Lumberjacks forward Miller makes NCAA Commitment

The Granite City Lumberjacks of the North American 3 Hockey League (NA3HL) are proud to announce that forward Connor Miller has committed to play NCAA DIII hockey for Lake Forest College. 

Miller, 21, has officially wrapped up his junior hockey journey, finishing strong with his second season in the NA3HL as a key player for the Granite City Lumberjacks. Over the course of 81 game, including 14 intense Fraser Cup playoff matchups, the Columbus, Ohio native racked up an impressive 57 points, netting 18 goals and adding 39 assists.

Miller’s standout performance of the 2024-25 season came on January 4th in a dominant win over the Willmar WarHawks. In a high-energy West Division showdown, the future Forester exploded for six points, scoring once and assisting on five others in a true display of offensive firepower.

Another memorable moment came earlier in the season on October 12th, when Miller delivered a clutch performance against the Rochester Grizzlies in a gritty cross-divisional contest. He lit the lamp twice, including the game-winner, lifting the Lumberjacks to a 3-2 victory.

“We are happy and excited for the opportunity Connor is getting to move on and play NCAA hockey. This is something he absolutely deserves. It’s rewarding to see players who play the game the right way and put in the work get opportunities to continue playing,” stated Lumberjacks’ Head Coach DJ Vold. 

Before beginning his junior career, he spent time developing in the NAPHL with the Tri-State Spartans at the 15U and 16U levels, appearing in a total of 31 games. 

Miller is one of six players from the Lumberjacks to make a college commitment this season.
