Lumberjacks Captain Portner makes ACHA college commitment

The Granite City Lumberjacks of the North American 3 Hockey League (NA3HL) are proud to announce that Captain Easton Portner has committed to play ACHA college hockey for Lindenwood University.
Portner, 21, has become a cornerstone of the Sauk Rapids community and a force on the ice as a third-year veteran with the Lumberjacks. Over 103 games, he’s racked up an impressive 82 points (34 goals, 48 assists) and boasts a standout plus-minus of +55.
In his final season of junior hockey, Portner closed out his career with a solid 38-point showing during the 2024-25 campaign. His signature performance came on February 28, when he lit up the scoresheet with a hat trick and an assist in a crucial late-season victory over the Minnesota Moose.
A reliable point producer and a respected leader under Head Coach DJ Vold, Portner was selected to skate in the 2025 Top Prospects Tournament in Plymouth, MI, where he added an assist for Team White.
He's one of six Lumberjacks advancing to the collegiate ranks and will take the next step in his hockey journey at Lindenwood University this fall, where he’ll reunite with teammates Brady Moore and Finn Greeley in a Lions sweater.
