Badlands defenseman Nygaard makes college commitment

The Badlands Sabres of the North American 3 Hockey League (NA3HL) are proud to announce that defenseman Grady Nygaard has committed to play ACHA college hockey for the University of Wisconsin - Superior.
Nygaard, 20, concluded his junior hockey career with a two-season stint on the blue line for the Badlands Sabres. Over 77 games, the River Falls, WI native registered 19 points, including 2 goals and 17 assists. Thirteen of those points came during his final season, highlighted by a pivotal moment on November 15th in a Frontier Division clash against the Gillette Wild. During the 3-1 Sabres win, Nygaard played a key role by netting the team's third and final goal, effectively securing the victory.
He is one of four players from the Sabres to make a college commitment this season.
