Tuesday Thriller: New Mexico Secures Big 6-2 Victory on the Road

New Mexico 6 @ El Paso 2 - The New Mexico Ice Wolves went on the road to take on the El Paso Rhinos. The home team would strike first in the opening period with a goal from Britton Oldham to give the Rhinos an early 1-0 lead. Andrew Goslin and Mikail Levaniuk with the assist. Before the end of the period, the Ice Wolves would answer and get on the board with an unassisted goal from Tanner Ross. In the second period, the Ice Wolves would take the lead for the first time. Calahan Butler scores the goal with Zachary Polkes assisting him. Just 3 minutes later, Tanner Ross would score his second goal of the game to give the Ice Wolves a 3-1 lead, Connor Hanley picking up the assist. With just 30 seconds left in the second period, Calahan Butler would score his second goal of the period, assisted by Tanner Ross and Jack Williams. The Ice Wolves take a 4-1 lead into the final period. In the final period, Calahan Butler would score again for the hat trick, this time Ryan Hoogsteen with the assist. The Rhinos would finally answer back with just their second goal after scoring the game's opening goal, Carter Lahmann knocks it in. Carter Tuplin and Kenneth Cadwallader picked up the assist for the Rhinos' second goal. To put the final nail in the coffin, the Ice Wolves would score their 6th goal of the game, Oscar Schneider putting one in the back of the net, with Grant Sexton picking up the assist. The New Mexico Ice Wolves control the night with a win over the El Paso Rhinos 6-2.
