Toros Captain Bollinger makes NCAA Commitment
The Mason City Toros of the North American 3 Hockey League (NA3HL) are proud to announce that Captain Carter Bollinger has committed to play NCAA DIII hockey for the University of Wisconsin-Stout.
Bollinger, 20, is a longtime member of the Toros organization, having suited up in the NA3HL for four seasons. Over his time in the league, the St. Cloud, MN native has shown steady progression, improving his point totals each year and is on pace to surpass his 2024–25 season total.
Through 101 career games, he has recorded 34 points (4 goals, 30 assists). Taking a closer look at his age-out season, his best performance came on December 6th when the Toros defeated the Willmar Warhawks in a thrilling overtime contest. Bollinger scored Mason City’s third goal before playing hero in overtime, banking home the game winner. That performance ignited an offensive stretch for the blueliner, as he went on to record points in five straight games.
Head Coach Alex North spoke with pride about Carter’s journey and what lies ahead: “I couldn’t be prouder of Carter. He carries himself the right way on and off the ice and never shies away from a challenge. His work ethic and professionalism speak volumes, and I truly believe he’s going to be successful in whatever he does in life. We’re excited to see what he does with this opportunity.”
Bollinger is the first player from the Toros to make a college commitment this season.
