Norwich 1 @ Long Beach 6 - The Long Beach Sharks dominated over the Norwich Sea Captains during Wednesday's slate, scoring a touchdown worth of goals. In the first period, Brendan Dalton opened the scoring on the power play at the half-way point, with Sean Bailey and Gustav Martinsson cycling the play makers. Before the final minute warning, Jay Montgomery's rebound would get tucked in by Dalton to make it two-nothing. For the second, Dalton would set up Eli McCarthy for the insurance lead. And then ten minutes later, McCarthy would grab another to keep up the lead, when he was assisted by Jack Baker and Jace Tourtillott. About three minutes after, Dalton would saucer feed James Steinberg to rip one in the slot. Early into the third, Montgomery opened the score on the power play to make it six-nothing. However, moments later, the Sea Captains killed the shutout dreams when Kolin Krizan lasered one past Will Zinnen. Regardless, the Sharks took this game with a five-goal lead, with Zinnen making 50 saves.
Rochester 3 @ West Bend 5 - The West Bend Power took down the visiting Rochester Grizzlies in Wednesday night's slate. In the first period, West Bend opened the scoring when Jace Fitzgerald sniped one in off a feed from Danny Jurcich. About ten minutes later and Jurcich would grab himself a goal to make it two-nothing. Then late into the second, Brody Josselyn got things started when he tipped in Evan Burchardt's initial shot. However, 30 seconds later, the Grizzlies responded, as Nik Secen and Felix Wadstromer would put a tie within one just four minutes apart. Nevertheless, Jurcich came to the rescue and punched in a beauty to keep the lead going for the Power, as Quinn O'Connor and Andrew Sparacino assisted. Six minutes into the third, though, Secen grabbed his second of the night to put his club within one again. However, as the same story goes, Jurich responded and denied the chance of a tied score, as he racked up a natural hat-trick to seal the deal for West Bend.
