Moose forward Burnevik makes NCAA Commitment

The Minnesota Moose of the North American 3 Hockey League (NA3HL) are proud to announce that forward Will Burnevik has committed to play NCAA Division III hockey for Concordia College. 

Burnevik, 20, is skating in his second season with the Minnesota Moose after joining the team at last year’s trade deadline. Even with a late arrival, the ‘05 forward quickly became an important piece of the lineup, helping Minnesota during its inaugural season playoff run.

Now in his first full season with the Moose, Burnevik has taken his game to another level. Through 40 games, the Champlin Park, Minnesota native has totaled 45 points (17 goals, 28 assists), averaging an impressive 1.13 points per game.

His offensive consistency has been a major boost for Minnesota, as Burnevik has recorded 14 multi-point performances and currently ranks fourth on the team in scoring. One recent highlight came in a 3-0 win over the WarHawks, where Burnevik delivered a dominant performance by scoring two of the Moose’s three goals to help secure the shutout victory.

Moose Head Coach Todd Sanden says Will’s leadership and commitment to his development have made him a cornerstone of the program: "Will is an everyday leader for the Minnesota Moose. His effort and demeanor are consistently positive and contagious. There is no doubt that Will could have played at another level. His trust of his process and willingness to embrace his opportunities with the Moose has provided him the opportunity to become a college hockey player. Concordia is getting a good hockey player but an even better person.  I am confident that he will find success and make Concordia a better place."

Burnevik is the first player from the Moose to make a college commitment this season.
