NA3HL Announces New Team in Brick, New Jersey

The North American 3 Hockey League (NA3HL) has announced that its Board of Governors has approved the membership of the Garden State Gamblers, with the team set to begin play in the 2026-27 season.

George Haviland shares what it means to expand the NA3HL in the East Division.

"We are thrilled to announce the expansion of our junior program, the Garden State Gamblers, launching for the upcoming 2026-27 season. This new initiative will instill the pathways, values, and framework that have been built at the New Jersey Titans over the past 28 years. We are excited to provide players with the opportunity to compete in junior hockey.”

Haviland went on to explain more about who will be coaching the new team.

“The staff we have assembled is top-notch. They will join our elite staff with JT Tarantino and Jimmy Gill as our general managers, while Frank Gerbasi will serve as our head coach.”

The veteran coach went on to explain where the Garden State team will lace up in the fall.

“The Gamblers will call the historic Ice Palace in Bricktown their home. It will include all the amenities junior hockey players need to succeed. It will feature brand-new locker rooms, a gym, and an off-ice training area. The Gamblers will be directly affiliated with the New Jersey Titans of the North American Hockey League and will provide opportunities for players to advance to the next level through the New Jersey Titans pipeline.”

The Garden State Gamblers will play in the NA3HL’s East Division for the upcoming 2026-27 season. The team will be one of six teams: Long Beach Sharks (Oyster Bay, NY), Maine Nordiques (Lewiston, Maine), New Hampshire Jr. Mountain Kings (Hooksett, NH), New Jersey Titans (Middletown, NJ), and the Norwich Sea Captain (Norwich, CT).

The NA3HL is one of only three USA Hockey-sanctioned Junior leagues and serves as one of the top training grounds in the country by providing the best coaching, exposure, and developmental vehicles available for student-athletes. The NA3HL advances more players to the NAHL, NCAA, and ACHA than any other junior league of its kind.

USA Hockey has been properly notified, and formal approval is expected at their annual meeting in June.
