Sheridan Goaltender Wonnacott Makes College Commitment

The Sheridan Hawks of the North American 3 Hockey League (NA3HL) are proud to announce that goaltender TJ Wonnacott has committed to play ACHA Division II college hockey for Montana State University (Bozeman, Montana).

Over the past two seasons, the Lake City, Colorado native has been a reliable puck-stopper for the Sheridan Hawks, appearing in 39 games. 

This past season, Wonnacott impressed many and left himself ranked towards the top of the league in most statistics. The 6-foot-2 goaltender’s 2.28 GAA left him ranked in the top-10 across all qualified goaltenders. Wonnacott’s .918 SV% and 47 total goals against left him in the top-15 across the league. 

“TJ was a massive part of our team for the last two seasons and we are extremely happy to see him make this next step to a very credible and successful ACHA program,” said Sheridan Hawks Head Coach JJ Santagata. “It’s great to see him stay out West and we look forward to seeing him continue to excel at the collegiate level and get a great education.” 

The best performances of the 2025-26 season from Wonnacott came on Oct. 31 against the Bozeman IceDogs. In that game, Wonnacott stopped all 23 shots that he faced and recorded his only shutout of the season. The Hawks defeated the IceDogs 3-0.

Wonnacott is one of seven players from the Sheridan Hawks to make a college commitment this season.
