Mason City Defenseman Pautsch Makes College Commitment

The Mason City Toros of the North American 3 Hockey League (NA3HL) are proud to announce that forward Jimmy Pautsch has committed to play ACHA Division I college hockey for Purdue Northwest University (Hammond, Indiana).

During the 2025-26 season, Pautsch started the year with the Wisconsin Woodsmen before being acquired by the Mason City Toros where he finished the season. 

Over the past two seasons in the league, the Madison, Wisconsin native has played in 50 games for the Woodsmen and 13 games for the Toros. In those 13 games with the Toros, Pautsch recorded three assists. 

“Jimmy was a great addition to our room,” said Mason City Toros Head Coach Alex North. “We traded for Jimmy during the season and he added experience and depth to our defensive group. I couldn't be prouder of Jimmy and am excited to see what he does at the next level.”

Pautsch’s best offensive performance of the season came against the West Bend Power on Dec. 5. In that game Pautsch recorded the first goal of the game in a 3-2 victory over the Power.

Pautsch is one of six players from the Mason City Toros to make a college commitment this season.
