Drillers Forward Dyer Makes College Commitment

The Louisiana Drillers of the North American 3 Hockey League are proud to announce that forward, Lucas Dyer, has committed to play ACHA Division I college hockey for Arizona State University (Tempe, Arizona).

Dyer has spent two seasons in the NA3HL. In the 2024-25 season he played for the Texas RoadRunners. He spent the first part of the 2025-26 season with the RoadRunners before joining the Louisiana Drillers in January.

The 2025-26 season was his most successful in the league. He had 129 points during the regular season, leaving him ranked 2nd in the league. He was also ranked 2nd among all scorers in the league with 62 goals, and 7th in assists with 62 assists.

He scored an additional 14 points in the post season in the form of five goals and nine assists. 

The Houston, Texas native was named to the NA3HL Third All-Star team and the NA3HL All-Divisional Team (Southeast) during the 2025-26 season.

“Lucas is a phenomenal hockey player,” said Drillers head coach Chris Francis. “Him attending ASU is a great accomplishment and I know he is going to do extremely well at that program both on the ice and in the classroom. Look forward to following along with his success.”

His best performance of the 2025-26 season came on Oct. 19 against the Atlanta Capitals. He had seven points consisting of four goals and three assists to aid the RoadRunners in a 13-0 shutout win. 

Dyer is one of seven players from the Louisiana Drillers to make a college commitment this season.
