Norwich Goaltender Alfano Makes College Commitment

The Norwich Sea Captains of the North American 3 Hockey League are proud to announce that goaltender, Peter Alfano, has committed to play NCAA Division III college hockey for the University of Dubuque (Dubuque, Iowa).

Alfano has spent three seasons in the NA3HL with the Sea Captains. The 2023-24 season was his best season statistically. During his first season in the NA3HL he played in 15 games and had a save percentage of .925.

During the 2025-26 season he played in 29 games and had a save percentage of .904 and had a record of 13-13-2.

In February of 2026, Alfano was selected to compete in the Top Prospects Tournament. The tournament consisted of the best uncommitted players in NA3HL and the NAHL. Alfano represented the NA3HL on team Black and had a save percentage of .911 during the tournament..

His best performance between the pipes came on Feb. 21 against the Maine Nordiques. He stopped 36 of 37 shots and had a save percentage of .973. The Sea Captains took a 3-1 victory.

Alfano is one of five players from the Norwich Sea Captains to make a college commitment this season.
