Rougarou Forward Tierman Makes College Commitment

The Bayou State Rougarou of the North American 3 Hockey League (NA3HL) are proud to announce that forward, Ethan Tierman, has committed to play ACHA Division I college hockey for Misericordia University (Dallas, Pennsylvania).

Tierman spent one season in the NA3HL with the Rougarou. He led his team in points and goals scored.

During the 2025-26 season, he recorded 73 points during the 2025-26 season, consisting of 45 goals and 28 assists. He ranked 24th in the league in total points. 

In February of 2026, Tierman was selected to compete in the Top Prospects Tournament. The tournament consisted of the best uncommitted players in NA3HL and the NAHL. Tierman represented the NA3HL on team Black and recorded one goal and one assist during the tournament. 

“We couldn’t be more proud of Ethan and all the work he has put in to earn this opportunity,” said Paul MaClean, head coach of the Rougarou. “His commitment and dedication to his development have been evident throughout his time with us, and it’s exciting to see that hard work pay off. We’re looking forward to watching him take the next step in his hockey and academic career at Misericordia University.”

Tierman was named to the All-NA3HL 2nd Team and the All-Southeast Division Team. 

Tierman’s best performance of the year came on Nov. 21 against the Atlanta Capitals. He scored seven goals to help lead the Rougarou to an 8-1 victory over the Capitals. 

Tierman is one of six players from the Bayou State Rougarou to make a college commitment this season.
