Mason City Forward Bauer Makes College Commitment

The North Iowa Bulls, formerly known as the Mason City Toros, of the North American 3 Hockey League (NA3HL) are proud to announce that forward, Blaze Bauer, has committed to play ACHA Division II college hockey for South Dakota State University (Brookings, South Dakota).

Bauer spent one year in the NA3HL with the Mason City Toros. During the 2025-26 season, he recorded 23 points during the 2025-26 season, consisting of ten goals and 13 assists. 

“Blaze was an exciting and skilled player for us,” said Bulls head coach Alex North. “I believe his skill level is going to translate well at the next level.”

Bauer’s best performances of the year came on Oct. 18 against the Minnesota Wilderness. He scored three goals to help aid the Toros in a 7-0 shutout victory over the Wilderness. 

Bauer is one of ten players from the Mason City Toros to make a college commitment this season.
