Monday Matchup: Louisiana Shuts Out the Capitals

Louisiana 13 @ Atlanta 0 - The Louisiana Drillers defeated the Atlanta Capitals with a 13-0 victory. The Drillers took control early, with Andrew Kozhushko opening the scoring at 12:05 of the first period. Adam Polecki went back-to-back and found two goals. The Drillers continued their domination with two more goals to round out the first period. The second period saw Kozhushko complete his hat trick at 16:51. Zachary Marsell and Roman Barnes each added to the tally. Marsell, Bryson Oliver, and Dante Zaffarano each found the back of the net in the third period. 

New Mexico 6 @ West Texas 1 - The New Mexico Ice Wolves secured a win over the West Texas Wranglers 6-1. The Wolves didn't waste any time, with Michael Manchik firing the opening goal at 09:30 of the first period. Just 24 seconds later, Gavin Zuber doubled the lead, setting the tone for a dominant first period. Hunzeker Piersimoni added a third goal at 05:45, completing a trio of unanswered goals in the first period. The second period saw Piersimoni strike again at 11:33, maintaining the Wolves' momentum. West Texas found their first goal when Bryan Richards scored a power-play goal at 07:27, thanks to an assist from Gunnar Vick. However, the Wolves were relentless. In the third period, Zuber netted his second at 13:58, followed by Breckin Ross's goal at 18:51, sealing the deal for New Mexico.
