April 28, 2014
Topeka Capitals and NA3HL forward Connor Nicholas is set to become the second Capital to join the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) after committing to Saint Mary's University this week.
Nicholas joined the Capitals during the 2013-2014 campaign after playing for the Palm Beach Hawks of the USPHL.
"Connor is a natural leader," said Capitals head coach Anthony Bohn. "He came to us late in the year and contributed right away. His willingness to learn and determination to improve daily is a quality that inspires his teammates and everyone around him. It was a pleasure to have Connor be part of the Topeka Capitals family and we wish him the best of luck in his future."
Nicholas blossomed in Topeka. In just 14 games with the Capitals, Nicholas tallied 11 goals and 10 assists (with a +/- of +14) including two game winning goals. He would add two more points in the South Division Finals against Dallas to conclude their impressive run.
