Nashville edges Evansville on Wednesday morning

Evansville 1 @ Nashville 2 – Mason Koster made 29 saves to help the Nashville Jr. Predators to a 2-1 win over the visiting Evansville Jr. Thunderbolts on Wednesday morning.

 

Nashville got on the board midway through the 1st period with a goal from Weiland Parrish, who scored his 13th goal of the season with assists to Michael Redmon and Declan O’Neal.

 

Early in the 2nd period, the Thunderbolts tied the game at 1-1 as Jon Grimm struck for his 6th goal of the season with assists to Tyler Gregory and John Ames. Eight minutes later, the Jr. Predators got the eventual game-winning and a shorthanded goal from Dylan Schmidt, who scored his 16th of the season with an assist to Conor Cunningham.

 

Koster did the rest of work, which included stopped all 9 shots that came his way in the 3rd period. Evansville goalie James Fry made 23 saves in the loss.
