The Binghamton Junior Senators of the NA3HL are pleased to announce that Top Prospects forward Greg Simmons has committed to play ACHA Division I hockey for the University of Alabama.
Simmons, 20, is in his second and final season with the Northeast Division champion Senators. The 5’11/174 lbs. native of Corning, New York, had a career-best regular season in 2018-19 as he finished 7th in NA3HL scoring with 103 points (50 goals, 53 assists) in 47 games played.
Simmons was selected to and played in the 2019 NA3HL Top Prospects Tournament for the Northeast Division team where he recorded one goal in three games.
Overall in his two-year NA3HL career with Binghamton, Simmons recorded 137 points in 94 career games.
"This is Greg's second year with the program. He was able to come in and play multiple positions and various roles with the team last year, but solidified his spot on our first line by his work ethic and using his speed. He will no doubt be a top player at Alabama for the next four seasons,” Binghamton Head Coach, Anthony Langevin.
