NA3HL announces monthly player awards for September
The North American 3 Hockey League (NA3HL) has announced its monthly player awards for the month of September. The Forward of the Month is Anthony O’Neal of the Atlanta Capitals. The Defenseman of the Month is Kyle Mortenson of the Granite City Lumberjacks. The Goaltender of the Month is Gabe Swanson of the Helena Bighorns. Only players who are nominated by their respective teams are considered for the NA3HL monthly awards.

Granite City Lumberjack defenseman Kyle Mortenson was outstanding in the month of September. In the 4 games he appeared in, Mortenson totaled 10 points from the blue-line. The Wayzata, MN native added 4 goals and 6 assists for his 10 points while maintaining a +4 rating. Mortenson currently leads the Lumberjacks in scoring this season.

True Hockey NA3HL Goaltender of the Month: Gabe Swanson, Helena Bighorns
Helena Bighorns goaltender Gabe Swanson was lights out between the pipes in the month of September with a perfect 5-0 record. In his five showings in the month, Swanson recorded a 0.25 GAA and a .987 SV% stopping 89 of the 91 shots he faced in the 240 minutes he was between the pipes. The Helena, MT native has posted 3 shutouts on the season.
