NA3HL announces Bauer Hockey Stars of the Week

The North American 3 Hockey League (NA3HL) today announced the Divisional Stars of the Week presented by Bauer Hockey for the week ending October 9, 2022. The Divisional Stars of the Week is an award given each week of the regular season to the top performing players in each of the five divisions of the NA3HL as nominated by their head coaches. 

 

Central Division Star of the Week: Spencer Klotz, Forward, Rochester Grizzlies

Rochester forward Spencer Klotz claimed this week's Central Division Star after a 5 point showing in two games. Klotz, a Northfield, MN native, scored 4 goals in the first game of the weekend, accounting for half of the goals scored in an 8-4 win over the Toros. The following night, Klotz handed out an assist in the Grizzlies 4-2 win. Klotz has played in 10 games this season and has totalled 16 points with 8 goals and 8 assists. 

2nd Star: Tyler Fromolz, G, Oregon Tradesmen

East Division Star of the Week: Dylan Harbour, Forward, Long Beach Sharks 

Sharks forward Dylan Harbour was named East Division Star of the Week for the second consecutive time after his two game showing with 6 goals. In a weekend sweep over the Bay State Bobcats, Harbour, the Wasilla, AK native, recorded a hat-trick in both games. Harbour has appeared in 8 games this year while totalling 15 points with 8 goals and 7 assists. 

2nd Star: Nolan Zotter, F, Norwich Sea Captains

Frontier Division Star of the Week: Makhai Sparks, Defenseman, Sheridan Hawks

Sheridan Hawks Defenseman Makhai Sparks recorded 8 points in two games to earn the Frontier Division Star of the Week. In a weekend sweep over the Badlands Sabres, the blue-liner netted 3 goals and 5 assists. The Boise, ID native has played in 8 games this season and has scored 6 goals and added 7 assists for 13 points.

South Division Star of the Week: Nick Jameus, Forward, Atlanta Capitals

Capitals forward Nick Jameus earned the South Division Star for the second consecutive week after his 11 point performance. Jameus, who leads the NA3HL in scoring with 32 points in 13 games played with 6 goals and 26 assists, helped the Capitals win two of three games over the weekend against the Austin Ice Bats. Jameus, the Sault Ste Marie, Ontario natvie, added 4 goals and 7 assists to accumulate 11 points, while including a five point game and a hat-trick. 

2nd Star: Patrick Boyle, G, El Paso Rhinos

West Division Star of the Week: Gus Cantwell, Forward, New Ulm Steel

New Ulm forward Gus Cantwell combined for 5 points in the two games he appeared in a weekend split with the St. Louis Jr. Blues. Cantwell, a St. Paul, MN native, passed out two helpers getting his name on the scoresheet. In the following game, Cantwell added 3 points with 1 goal and 2 assists. This season he has played in 7 games totalling 8 points with 4 goals and 4 assists. 

2nd Star: Coby Weber, F, Granite City Lumberjacks
