Oregon defenseman Falconer signs NAHL tender

The Oregon Tradesmen of the NA3HL are pleased to announce that defenseman Will Falconer has signed an NAHL tender agreement with the Rochester Jr. Americans of the NAHL’s East Division. 

Falconer, 19, just finished his first season in the NA3HL and first in junior hockey. The 5’11/165 lbs. defenseman made 46 regular season appearances for the Tradesmen and recorded 36 points (10 goals, 26 assists), placing him among the top 20 point scoring defensemen in the league. He also finished tied for 4th in the NA3HL among defensemen with a +38 rating. 

Falconer was selected to and participated in the 2023 NA3HL Top Prospects Tournament in February where he recorded a pair of assists representing Team Central. The Sheboygan, Wisconsin native also played in seven 2023 Fraser Cup playoff games for Oregon and dished two assists. 

Prior to playing in the NA3HL he played for the Milwaukee Jr. Admirals program and his hometown Sheboygan Red Raiders. Falconer also participated in the 2019 NAPHL Fall League where he played for the Janesville Jets 16U team.

A tender is a contract, of sorts, a player signs announcing his intentions to play for that particular NAHL team and that NAHL team only. Once a player signs a tender with an NAHL team, his playing rights belong to that team within the NAHL and he may not be recruited by any other NAHL team. Each team is granted ten (10) tenders, which include two (2) tenders exclusively used on players from the NA3HL - plus or minus any trades - which became active on November 1st. Tendered players are not eligible for the 2023 NAHL Draft.
