Mason City goalie Graham signs NAHL tender

The Mason City Toros of the NA3HL are pleased to announce that goalie Connor Graham has signed an NAHL tender agreement with the North Iowa Bulls of the NAHL’s Central Division.

Graham, 18, just finished his first season of juniors and first in the NA3HL. The 6’1 181 lbs. native of Fort Wayne, Indiana posted an impressive 19-5 record in the Toros crease in 26 games played. Graham had a strong rookie season, displaying a 2.76 GAA and .918 SV% statline, the latter putting him top 20 in qualified goalies across the league. In addition to the regular season, Graham also played three games in the 2023 Fraser Cup Playoffs. 

Included in those 19 regular season wins were two shutouts, his first coming against the Rochester Grizzlies on February 10th. In that game he recorded 28 saves in a 3-0 victory. Graham also held the New Ulm Steel scoreless two days later in a 4-0 win. 

Prior to playing in the NA3HL, Graham spent three seasons as a member of the NAPHL. He began that tenure in the 2019-20 season playing for the Tri State Spartans 15U team. In the following two seasons, Graham strapped on the pads for the Indy Jr. Fuel program on both the 16U and 18U teams.

A tender is a contract, of sorts, a player signs announcing his intentions to play for that particular NAHL team and that NAHL team only. Once a player signs a tender with an NAHL team, his playing rights belong to that team within the NAHL and he may not be recruited by any other NAHL team. Each team is granted ten (10) tenders, which include two (2) tenders exclusively used on players from the NA3HL - plus or minus any trades - which became active on November 1st. Tendered players are not eligible for the 2023 NAHL Draft.
