Yellowstone forward O’Donoghue signs NAHL tender

June 21, 2023

The Yellowstone Quake of the NA3HL are pleased to announce that defenseman Wyatt O’Donoghue has signed an NAHL tender agreement with the Philadelphia Rebels of the NAHL’s East Division.

O’Donoghue, 18, just completed his first season in the NA3HL and first in junior hockey. The Lincoln, Illinois native played in 41 regular season games for the Quake and recorded 26 points (9 goals, 17 assists).

Included in those nine goals was a game winning goal that came against the Great Falls Americans on March 4th. The 6’3 195 lbs. defenseman also led the Quake’s blue line with a +9 rating.

Prior to playing in the NA3HL, O’Donoghue played youth hockey for the St. Louis AAA Blues 16U program.

A tender is a contract, of sorts, a player signs announcing his intentions to play for that particular NAHL team and that NAHL team only. Once a player signs a tender with an NAHL team, his playing rights belong to that team within the NAHL and he may not be recruited by any other NAHL team. Each team is granted ten (10) tenders, which include two (2) tenders exclusively used on players from the NA3HL - plus or minus any trades - which became active on November 1st. Tendered players are not eligible for the 2023 NAHL Draft.
