Blizzard hand WarHawks 2-1 loss on Wednesday
Justin Wasvick had the game-winning goal in a 2-1 win on Wednesday.
Alexandria 2 @ Willmar 1 – Blizzard goalie Nolan LaCosse made 23 saves to lead his squad to a 2-1 road win on Wednesday night in Willmar. The win was Alexandria’s third in a row and moved them to 4-1-0 on the season, while the WarHawks dropped their seventh straight and sit at 0-7-0 for the season.
Willmar was first on the board thanks to a 1st period goal from Spencer Bergman with an assist to Gus Cantwell. Alexandria responded three minutes later as Eli Paloranta scored with an assist to Jack Carter.
After a scoreless 2nd period, the Blizzard netted the game-winner late in the 3rd period as Justin Wasvick crashed the net and put home his own rebound with assists to Eli Fletcher and Jackson Miller.
WarHawks goalie Jesse Easterwood made 36 saves in the loss.
