NA3HL announces Bauer Hockey Stars of the Week

The North American 3 Hockey League (NA3HL) today announced the Divisional Stars of the Week presented by Bauer Hockey for the week ending October 15, 2023. The Divisional Stars of the Week is an award given each week of the regular season to the top performing players in each of the five divisions of the NA3HL as nominated by their head coaches.

 Central Division Star of the Week: Gabe Randel, Forward, Wausau Cyclones

Wausau forward Gabe Randel posted seven points in two games to earn the Central Division Star of the Week. the Hortonville, WI native started his weekend off with a three-point night scoring two goals and an assist. In the following contest, Randel scored a goal and dished out three assists for a four-point night. This year Randel has appeared in nine games where he has totaled 16 points with seven goals and nine assists. 

2nd Star: Hugh Deniema, F, Wisconsin Woodsmen

Honorable Mention (alphabetical): John Kritz, F, Wausau Cyclones – Parker Murn, D, Oregon Tradesmen

 East Division Star of the Week: Daniel Antal, Goalie, Northeast Generals

Northeast Generals goaltender Daniel Antal was perfect on the weekend helping the Generals pick up two wins on home ice. In those two games, the Ringwood, NJ native turned away 46 of the 28 shots he faced, which included a 22-shot shutout win. Antal continues to hold a perfect record in net with the Generals going 4-0 on the season. He has combined for a 1.25 GAA and a.945 SV%.

Frontier Division Star of the Week: Kaden Rhyder, Goalie, Great Falls Americans

Great Falls netminder Kaden Rhyder earned the Frontier Division Star of the Week after his two-game performance. Adding back-to-back wins under his belt on the season, the Elizabethtown, PA native stopped 91 of 94 shots. This season, Rhyder has appeared in five games where he has combined for a 3.86 GAA, a .903 SV% and a record of 3-1-1. 

2nd Star: Tim Mattingly, F, Helena Bighorns

Honorable Mention (alphabetical): Andrew Browe, F, Butte Cobras – Weston Gerke, G, Gillette Wild – Tay Kurpius, F, Gillette Wild – Ty Moore, F, Helena Bighorns – Ty O’Bey, F, Great Falls Americans – Keegan Strong, G, Butte Cobras


South Division Star of the Week: David Tolan, Forward, El Paso Rhinos

Rhinos forward David Tolan recorded seven points in a three-game series to earn the South Division Star of the Week. In a three-game series against the Texas RoadRunners, The LaVerne, CA native kicked off game one with a goal and an assist. In the following night, Tolan dished out an assist. In Sunday's game three, the 6’0”/170 lbs forward scored a hat-trick and handed out an assist for a four-point night. Tolan has played in three games this year with the El Paso Rhinos (NA3HL) squad. 

2nd Star: Colton Sebastian, F, Louisiana Drillers

West Division Star of the Week: Jack Louko, Forward, Granite City Lumberjacks

Granite City forward Jack Luoko totaled 6 points in a two-game set over the weekend, earning himself the West Division Star of the Week. The Sheboygan Falls, WI native started the weekend off with his first goal and assist of the season for a two-point night. In the following game, Luoko doubled down on his previous performance scoring two goals and dishing out two assists for a four-point game and a six point weekend. Louko has appeared in seven games with the Jacks this season and has totaled 6 points. 

2nd Star: Christian Carto, D, Granite City Lumberjacks

Honorable Mention (alphabetical): Devin Peck, G, Mason City Toros – Riley Swanson, G, Rochester Grizzlies – Dominic Thomas, F, Mason City Toros – Owen Van Tassel, F, Rochester Grizzlies
