Saturday Scores: 1st place Grizzlies roll to sweep

Rochester forward Spencer Klotz had five points in a weekend sweep of Minnesota.

Rochester Grizzlies 12 @ Minnesota Loons 4: Starting off the night in the First period the Rochester Grizzlies scored four goals by Andrew Bastian, Owen Van Tassel, Cael Knutson, and Duke Boccardi making the score 4-0. In the second period the Rochester Grizzlies scored three more goals by Luke Sawicky, Whyatt Witham, and Landen Cialek, and for the Minnesota Loons they scored two goals by Christian Starr, and Kyler Courture making the score 7-2.  In the third period the Rochester Grizzlies scored five goals by Andrew Bastian, Luke Sawicky, two by Duke Boccardi giving him the only hat trick of the night, and one by Aiden Emerich, and two goal for the Minnesota Loons by Kyler Couture, and Broden Fawcett making the final score 12-4. Nick Kurtiak saved 13 shots for the win, while Alex Harden saved 24 shots in the loss.

Peoria Mustangs 3 @ Mason City Toros 0: Starting off the evening the Peoria Mustangs score one goal in the first period by Henry Griffin making the score 1-0. In the second period the Peoria Mustangs scored two more goals by Justin Funk, and Johnny Switzer making the score 3-0. After a slow third period the final score was 3-0. Kason Yamada saved all 32 shots for the shutout and the win, while Drew Blake saved 32 shots in the loss.

Wausau Cyclones 4 @ St. Louis Jr. Blues 5: Starting off the night in the first both teams scored one goal for the Wausau Cyclones it was Gabe Randel. And for the St. Louis Jr. Blues it was Will Casseau making the score 1-1. In the second period the Wausau Cyclones scored another goal by Gabe Randel, and the St. Louis Jr. Blues scored three goals by Kenneth Henning, Daniel Sendobry, and Cody Patton making the score 4-2. In the third period the Wausau Cyclones scored two more goals by Anderson Brien, and Isaac Baker, and for the St. Louis Jr. Blues scored one goal by Carter Clemons making the final score 5-4. Jordan Behnen saved 39 shots for the win, while Tanner Bonjernoor saved 6 shots and Brady Faille saved 14 shots in the loss.

Mid Cities Jr Stars 4 @ Austin Ice Bats 3 (OT): Starting off the night in the first the Austin Ice Bats scored by Samuel Medina making the score 1-0. Starting off the second the Mid Cities Jr Stars scored a goal by Kade Brayman, and for the Austin Ice Bats scored two goals by Alexander Gorley, and Arys Peradi making the score 3-1. In the third period the Mid Cities Jr Stars scored two goals by William Heskett, and Seth Dragojevic tying the score 3-3. In over time Kade Brayman scored for the Mid Cities Jr Stars making the final score 4-3. Cole Eckert saved 49 shots for the win, while Bryson Frazee saved 38 shots in the loss.

Atlanta Capitals 2 @ Texas Brahmas 4: Starting off the first both teams scored a goal for the Atlanta Capitals it was Dylan Wolf, and for Texas Brahmas it was Jackson Foddrill making the score 1-1. In the second period the Atlanta Capitals scored a goal by Brad Camp, and the Texas Brahmas scored two goals by Sam Bailey, and Chase Forry making the score 3-2. In the third period the Texas Brahmas scored a goal by Kaden Spaniol making the final score 4-2. Noah Van Herik saved 25 shots for the win, while Austin Durkop saved 47 shots in the loss.

Granite City Lumberjacks 4 @ Willmar WarHawks 3: In the first period the Willmar War Hawks scored two goals by Tyler Misialek, and Nik Johnson making the score 2-0. In the second period the Granite City Lumberjacks scored a goal by Joe Greniuk making the score 2-1. In the  third period the Granite City Lumberjacks scored three goals by Parker Comstock, Patrick Dunaiski, and Jack Marske, and one goal for the Willmar War Hawks scored by Nik Johnson making the final score 4-3. Ryan Lehet saved 27 shots for the win, while Jesse Easterwood saved 34 shots in the loss.

Oregon Tradesmen 3 @ Alexandria Blizzard 1: In the first period both teams scored a goal for the Oregon Tradesmen it was Cal Laggis, and for the Alexandria Blizzards it was Matt Mclntyre making the score 1-1. In the second period the Oregon Tradesmen scored a goal by Caleb Crouch making the score 2-1. In the third period the Oregon Tradesmen scored a goal by Zak Molstad making the final score 3-1. Samuel Pollard saved 35 shots for the win, while Nolan LaCosse saved 19 shots in the loss.

West Bend Power 2 @ Wisconsin Woodsmen 1: In the first period the West Bend Power scored two goals by Connor O’Neal, and Bryce Garber making the score 2-0. After a slow second period heading into the third the Wisconsin Woodsmen scored a goal by Daniels Ratkevics making the final score 2-1. Gavin Wohlmacher saved 32 shots for the win, while Dixon Ehlers saved 16 shots in the loss. 

New Jersey Titans 2 @ Norwich Sea Captains 1: Starting off the night in the first period the New Jersey Titans scored a goal by Nick Bianco making the score 1-0. In the second period the New Jersey Titans scored a goal by Lucas Carney making the score 2-0. In the third period the Norwich Sea Captains scored a goal by Aidan Ready making the final score 2-1. Avery Rovira saved 26 shots for the win, while Kevin MacDonald saved 22 shots in the loss.

Helena Bighorns 3 @ Gillette Wild 6: in the first period the Helena Bighorns scored a goal by Camden Cunningham, and the Gillette Wild scored two goals by Adam Severson, and Isaac Young making the score 2-1. In the second period the Helena Bighorns scored two more goals by Gavin Barr, and Braden Cunningham making the score 3-2. In the third period the Gillette Wild scored four goals two by Ryan Hipsag, one by Isaac Young, and Tay Kurpius making the final score 6-3. Unknown goalie saved 34 shots for the win, while unknown goalie saved 54 shots in the loss.

Sheridan Hawks 1 @ Butte Irish 4: in the first period the Butte Irish scored a goal by Kazden Stineff making the score 1-0. In the second period the Butte Irish scored two goals by Patrick Crooks, and Brennen Morgan making the score 3-0. In the third period both teams scored a goal for the Sheridan Hawks it was Ayden Attungana, and for the Butte Irish it was Patrick Crooks making the final score 4-1. Keegan Strong saved 34 shots for the win, while Zach Broxterman saved 34 shots in the loss.
