Former Jr. Blues player Bollig gets call to the NHL

Former St. Louis Jr. Blues forward Brandon Bollig was called up to the Chicago Blackhawks today from the Rockford IceHogs of the AHL.
Bollig, 25, has registered a career-high six assists and nine points (3G, 6A) in 53 contests with Rockford this year, and ranks seventh in the AHL with a team-high 163 penalty minutes. Originally signed as a free agent following a collegiate career at St. Lawrence University, the St. Charles, Missouri, native has notched eight goals, seven assists and 285 penalty minutes in 111 regular-season tilts over parts of three seasons (2010-12) with the IceHogs.
He last played with the Jr. Blues during the 2004-05 season.
